Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of Vinyl Rider, a free app developed by the developer. By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app and remove it from your device.
The app-store terms and standard end-user license terms that apply to your download also continue to apply. If these Terms conflict with mandatory consumer law or applicable app-store terms, those rules control to the extent of the conflict.
What the app does
Vinyl Rider is a practice tool that lets you load supported audio onto two virtual decks and use playback, pitch, EQ, volume, mute, crossfader, cue, BPM, and audio-analysis features. Audio can be selected from your device. The optional Bandcamp connection can browse your authenticated collection and download eligible tracks for offline use.
The app is not professional performance, broadcast, safety, archival, or backup software. Keep independent copies of audio you cannot replace.
Free service
Vinyl Rider is currently provided without a purchase price, subscription, advertising, or in-app purchases. The developer may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features or distribution of the app. Any future paid offering would be disclosed before purchase and governed by the applicable store rules and any updated terms.
Your audio and lawful use
You keep ownership of audio and other content you select or access. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to access, download, copy, play, mix, or otherwise use that content.
You must not use the app to infringe copyright or other rights, bypass access controls, redistribute downloaded material, provide unauthorized access to another person's collection, or violate applicable law. The app does not grant you rights to music, artwork, metadata, trademarks, or other third-party content.
Bandcamp
Vinyl Rider is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Bandcamp. The optional integration connects directly to Bandcamp's open-beta Subsonic service using separate credentials generated in your Bandcamp Fan Settings.
Your Bandcamp account, collection, credentials, and use of Bandcamp services remain subject to Bandcamp's Terms of Use and other Bandcamp policies. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for disconnecting or regenerating them if you believe they have been exposed.
Bandcamp controls the availability, content, eligibility rules, performance, and continued operation of its service. Because the Subsonic service is in beta, it may change, reject credentials, limit access, or stop working with the app without notice. The developer cannot guarantee Bandcamp connectivity or the continued availability of any third-party content.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or infringing activity;
- use another person's credentials or content without authorization;
- attempt to defeat security, access controls, technical limits, or content protections;
- reverse engineer or modify the app except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- interfere with the app, Bandcamp, app stores, or related infrastructure; or
- use the app or its output in a way that violates third-party terms or rights.
Privacy and local storage
The Privacy Policy explains the app's local storage, optional Bandcamp requests, deletion controls, website hosting, and support communications. The app does not provide cloud backup or cross-device sync for its offline library. You are responsible for device security, available storage, and retaining original copies of your files.
Intellectual property
The developer and its licensors retain all rights in the app, website, design, code, branding, and documentation, excluding content owned by you or third parties. Subject to these Terms, the developer grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control for its intended purpose.
Bandcamp and related names and marks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance describes interoperability and does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
Availability, updates, and support
The app and support are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. Updates may change functionality or device requirements. Some features require a compatible device, available storage, internet access, third-party services, or a supported audio format. Background downloads are not promised.
Support is available through the Support page. The developer does not guarantee a particular response or resolution time.
Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app and website are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free output, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, preservation of data, or compatibility with third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of content, data, opportunity, revenue, or profits arising from the app, website, unavailable third-party services, or your use of content. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including any mandatory consumer protections.
Ending use
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. The developer may suspend or discontinue the app, or restrict access to future versions, when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, misuse, or service operation. Sections that by their nature should survive will continue to apply, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, and liability provisions.
Changes to these Terms
The developer may update these Terms to reflect changes to the app, third-party services, or legal requirements. Updated Terms will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. If a material change requires consent under applicable law, the developer will request it through an appropriate channel before it applies.
